Real, I say.
IT Len summed it up pretty good.

I've looked it over and i think it's real. No specific reason, but the details in the picture seem to match what happened.
Then how does the guy with half a knee stand up without support?
That's just it. If it was photoshoped, there would not be such a huge mistake. I feel that what your seing there just happens to be the way the jeans fold.Quote:

Looks real to me but what do I know.
As to the stripes on the knees are those not reflective stripes attached to the overalls?

It's real folks. I work at one of the largest mines in the world and we got a Safety Bulletin Alert from Factory Mutual Insurance last year about the incident. It happened late in 2001. I actually have another picture of the accident, but unfortunately I'm at work and can't host it. If anyone is interested though I can email it to ya and let ya oogle at it. :D
Hope they managed to get away without too much injury Major Kong.
Hey Major, how much does one of those things weigh? And is there water in the tires/if so how many gallons per tire (if that's common knowlege).
I am guesing around 140000 lbs gross, give or take a few thousand. Am I close
I say it's a fake. Why'd they bring the barrel out for the picture? (behind the third guy from the left). Also how did it end up in this position (flat on it's back). I would under stand falling over on it's side because of a load but the only way I see it ending up in that positing is if it drove up a very steep incline with a load and flipped straight up and then over but if that would have happend I don't think that a vehicle of that size and weight would not show any signs of stress or bent metal (shoot even if it were placed like that I think the weight would show something). All in all it's a very good fake though.Quote:
