Just from a small outfit that does a lot of computer shows.
They have been real good but are hard to get a hold off they mostly do shows and you have to call to get someone to show up at their shop.
I could take it back to them and let them finish it up.
Everything is installed fine and working but just lacked the audio in the front panel.
No biggie
I could wait till i get some good speaker for it. I was testing with headphones. I have just come so close to finishing it I have been a little impatient.

Such a little thing when everything works great now.
But if Noo Noo can help that would be great too.

after doing futher search I have found what is supposed to be connected to what pin on my motherboard.
I searched several forums and it seems that the Asus pin setup is not very clear cause I saw several people with the same mobo.
The pin layout in my case aren't very clear either.
So the problem is now going to be I know what goes with each pin on the motherboard I just don't know how the case has labeled the pins.
For example I see a left in and right in whereas my motherboard just refers to them as output and doesn't mention inputs.
ANyway, I am futher ahead of where I was. I just have to plug in a few wires and see which is which. But I have enought info to figure it out now.
I should be done with this one.

Got it going. Seems almost every motherboard and case label the connectors differently. Found some infomation on the web and a chat site or two. Then it still took me two tries. Anyway, all is well I have my USB working and the audio in the front panel.
I don't understand why they can take something simple and make it so hard. There were forums with other people having the same problems. Several had my same board so evidently it could be much clearer.
So, I'm a happy camper till something breaks again.

Charlescpc, can you help me? I'm trying to hook up my mic and audio on my Asus A8V7X-X and am not sure how the works. It's the same layout as what you said, but i have too many pin plugs. Let me list them:

Mic:

Mic-in
mic-pwr
mic-ground

Audio:

ground
r- out
r-ret
l-out
l-ret

I have two ground plugs but only one ground pin as i can see. Can you explain in what positions i should plug these in?

And i'm also not sure about plugging in the Front panel USB plugs.
