Since the taxi cab driver and the client had never met or even knew each others' names, what could have been the driver's motive?

It could have been the address of the driver's sister/mother/daughter. Shooting the man taking advantage of one of those could seem like a good idea.

If you were to put a coin into an empty bottle and then insert a cork into the neck, how could you remove the coin without taking out the cork or breaking the bottle?

Push the cork all the way in and turn it upside down letting the coin fall out.
