I have to agree with ya on that diver. I think that is why when his show came to minnesota, he left a few months later with his tail between his legs. Barnyard kicked his :butt: !Quote:

I think the whole thing is all about blowing smoke up the publics ***. Clear channel looks like their taking a moral stand and we'll see how this works out in a year. The government looks like their doing something about vulgarity in media in the wake of janets boob. This is a lot of effort over a topic worth this much --> }{
Last I heard, the Constitution only protected us from the government not your boss. If someone walks into your house and you don't like what he is saying, you can remove him from your house. You can limit someone's speech in your house. Same thing with a company. If a business doesn't agree with what you say or you violate the rules, they can fire you, no questions asked.

Inquiring minds want to know. :D
The problem is that it's not his boss' all of a sudden deciding that he's too vulgar. It's the FCC and the government that thinks this, so they put great pressure on the company that employs Stern to do something about him.Quote:

Anyone who has a problem with Stern's show, I would challenge them to actually listen to it for a week then try to tell me how it's so much worse than any of the other garbage that is shoved down our throats every day of the week. Personally I'm more offended by the politicians trying to change the constitution in order to allow Arnold Shwarzenneger to run for President.
That's way more offensive.
Well, having heard about stern asking a pedophile about what he liked to do to little boys on air I'd have to agree that his time has passed. Really, you can find a lot more intelligent conversation on college radio. I think that if the quality of his show were higher it might not be such an easy decision to make to can him.Quote:

That's the root of the problem right there. Don't listen to what other people say about him, listen to his words with your own ears. I've listened to him daily for several years and know for a fact if he had a pedophile on, he would do nothing but belittle him and encourage him to go see a doctor and get his problem under control.
I don't necessarily believe everything he has on air is morally right, but I do believe that our government is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of control on this and many other issues. Removing someone from the airwaves that has the integrity to speak out against what is wrong is not a step in the right direction.
Colin Powell's son is the head of the FCC for pete's sake. Does he have a single ounce of qualification for that job or is the word nepotism fitting here?
Aren't YOU the same person that said in a previous thread: "Ban him for life"???Quote:

Number one, if you don't like it, turn the f'ing station. Number two, you can bet this is the result of "religious" influence. :devil:
Yea I'm the same guy that said ban him for life. Life isn't black and white and different situations call for different measures.Quote:

I don't pay taxes to this site and neither do you. I do pay taxes to my government and expect to have some say in how it is run.
