Yea, guys like Rush and others were constantly pounding on Clinton for several things. Clinton didn't do such a bad job...actually, he didn't do much of anything. But the thing that got most conservatives in an uproar was him getting a BJ in the hallway of the oval office while we've got servicemen and women overseas putting their lives on the line for our country. The BJ should never have even been an issue. Clinton was at fault for not just admiting it and telling the country to get over themselves, and the other side was at fault for wasting so much of our money and time on something so trivial as getting head.

See, people in the liberal side ignored that illegal act and thought the conservatives were angry about that. Well, I for one listened to talk radio daily and the average old fart condemned him on moral grounds while the hosts harped on the perjury to the grand jury aspect.

My post about Spain was meant to stimulate debate on what is surely one of the most important issues in America. Is this countries policies correct for the war on terror.
In fact that seems to be the major issue of the campaign. Was invading Iraq the best move?
For those who haven't read Richard Clarkes book his whole point is that Iraq should not have been our target. It was a waste of resources and played into the terrorists hands. Saddam Hussein was only tolerated by the terrorists cause he hated America. Saddam and Iraq were going to be on the terrorists hit list too.
He says that attacking Iraq has only served to convince the terrorists that we are clueless. Also that we only care about oil, not our dead.
The REAL enemy as far as nations go is IRAN. They have been behind almost every attack against the US (and Israel) for the last 10 years.
I merely asked if we had put the effort into hunting down Al-Qaeda and bin Laden that we put into invading Iraq is it possible that Al-Qaeda could have been so weakened they could not have pulled off the attacks in Spain?
