How does a gun make you safer ?

OK, so what do you prefer?

There's a huge difference between close-quarters combat, and having the ability to stop a baddie when they're still 10-12 feet away.

You are assuming that engaging the baddie is the best form of defence. 10 to 12 feet I would consider close quarters.

Maybe you guys can help me out .... Why does Canada not have the gun Violence that you have in the USA ??? We have lots of guns so why the difference.... I'm not trying to come across is holyier than you... I just wonder where the difference is ??
