Lets not talk b****cks here. You will put on weight because you will eat more. Every single person I know who quit or who I met at stop smoking forum put on weight because they ate more, without exception.
In my own experience it took a good 8-9 months before I stopped eating everything that moved, and another 6 months after that before my weight started getting close to what it was when I quit, (and I play footy every week and golf every other)! Everyone is different but there's no point getting stressed about it. Like webhead said, excersize helps, but not smoking is more important for now. Sort the weight out when you cracked the weed habit.
