Try the drivers here http://www.foxconnchannel.com/produc...rd=651M02-G-6L The first comp I bought was a Systemax and getting support is like pulling teeth.
I bought a new sound card and it works well. Thanks for your help, I'll keep that webpage for future reference. e.e This computer is one BIG headache.
Lovely :thumbs2: .. mind you shouldn't have to spend money to get this going, you ought to be able to find drivers, quickly & easily  (mind if that happened this place wouldn't be here ! :D), but a 'cheapo' s/c is definately worth the money to many rather than fruitless seraching & discovering 'far too much' about how they are *supposed to work* !Quote:

Hey everyone I've just read though all of your reviews. I just had the same problem with my sister's computer. She has a Systemax Venture Computer from AOL and had the same problem with the sound card with no sound. after reinstalling windows XP. Here's how I fixed the problem. 1. Right click on the My Computer Icon, and select Properties. 2 Click on the hardware tab and then click on the Device Manager Tab. 3 Go down to where it says Other Devices (Make sure the box has a + sign to get all the options. 4 Then Right Click on the Mulitmedia/Music or Audio Controllers It should say something like that. (This should be the first option in the menu) and select Properties. 5 Then you should get a message saying the software isn't installed for the driver. Then it gives you the option to reinstall the driver. 6 Choose that option, and a window should appear saying use windows to install the correct software for this device. Select yes the option thats on top. Give it a few minuts and the sound for your driver should work. I hope this works for all of you. Note use this same process for both Windows XP Home and Professional Editions.
Here is the driver for the SIS 7012 Audio
Remember adding a soundcard you need to disable on-board sound in bios or you are likely to have compatability issues down the line somewhere....
the problem is that you need to install service pack to and download windows media player 11.0 i had a customer bring the same computer and i managed to get sound.
hope that helps
