Sorry! I was confus-ed.
I've finally fixed it. I went to "http://www.datapol.de/dpe/freeware/" and downloaded a utility, NTFS4DOS which allows a Dos (or Dos-like) session on the hard drive. I simply renamed my Windows root directory to Windows1 and then went back to my Windows setup CD and it installed perfectly. I havn't lost any data although I'm having to reinstall a number of my applications. Thanks for all the advice.
PS I put the hard drive back to a single Raid partion which I think means I have Raid going but it's not giving me any of the possible benefits of Raid although it's still SATA speed.
cheers Greg
I don't know how to make a new thread so i will put it onto this one. My computer crashed so i reloaded Windows XP onto my computer. Every thing worked fine for the first couple of days but this morning the windows did not load when i started my computer. I had to go into Bios and click on the load best configuration. Windows loaded but when I click on my computer it does not load right away. It shows a flashlight that swings back and forth for a minute or 2. Not a big problem but it is doing it every single time I try to access the icon "my computer". ALso the icon for my second harddrive was not there. In it's place is a square showing a bunch of small icons similar to what you get when there is a file that you do not have a program for.
