NOPE IT DIDNT WORK!!!!!
maybe we could try something down the partition recovery line?? wot d you think?
Is there is a software which allows the lost partition to be recovered?
Thanks guys!
Are there any recovery software out there in big World Wide Web?
i used to use a dos util called ramish partition manager, it was almost like fdisk in linux as i recall. either of those utlilites should do the trick, but may take some learning......
when you say nope it didn't work, do you mean that you can't see the dead partition in disk management, or that it doesnt allow you to manipulate it....... If not, Here's a crazy idea, try booting to the xp cd and going in to setup with the drive plugged in and see if it allows you see and perhaps manipulate.the flash drive, in fact it just worked on mine to create one big partition, i tried to split it in 2 but xp gives a message about not supporting multiple partitions on a removable drive, maybe that's the issue......
i cant see the dead partition in disk management, but i'll try your WACKY idea!!
Thanks
wacky idea didnt work, or maybe i didnt do it properly, will try it again and see what happens
any other help in the mean time?
The method that i tried didnt work!!! Aw Man! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE somebody out there help me!
Thank You Very Much :)
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooo! (dramatic)
It looks like everyone has given up on my poor usb, any new heads out there that might know any tricks?
Thanks Dudes!
One thing you might try is disk management on another machine. From my limited experience with flash drives, I have read that some motherboard BIOS treat flash drives as a "super floppy" and others treat the same drive as a real hard disk. That might be why your drive doesn't show in disk management. Another more tedious approach would be to Ghost an empty partition to the flash drive however I think that might be BIOS limited as well. I have used Ghost on my flash drive before so I know it can work. Good luck
What is Ghost? Can i use it on windows XP?

It didnt work, is there a universal usb partition software that might do the job? i was wondering if it is possible to just at least get the 700mb active and not worry about the 256mb?
Thnaks Guys!! I really love the help that has been given. Just a little bit more????
Norton Ghost didnt find the removable drive so that wont do..........................any other suggestions?
