Don't get me wrong it's always a nice treat to be thanked like that. I just haven't posted much here over the last few months and I got an email on a topic I asked a long time ago. It's nice to look back and think about it all again... I've been moved up to management and I don't get to touch this sort of thing much anymore.
But now you know how to manage this sort of thing... right? :D :D

C:\text\extra comment\GoBack works pretty good for the most part. This was a rare jam. It has pulled me out of some serious ****. Remember, nothing is perfect and don't depend on anything. I have various forms of back up. In fact, these days its a good idea to have two PC's as I do. Just like having two cars. One breaks down, you can use the other to get to work and find info to fix the other

you might want to try this It is in the process of being renamed "steadystate".
I also googled the GoBack problem and lost about 200G on a 400G drive which had 4 partitions on it. I was able to recover 3 partitions fully and the 4th mostly with Solution 2 Below. On the 4th partition, i recovered most of it, but some data only had the file names intact with the file size listed as 0 bytes. I tried a few things, but was unsuccessful in the last bit of recovery. STILL, I was very happy to have been able to recover the vast majority of the disk. THANKS SO MUCH, to the originator of SOL#2.
