Audio Sound Drivers Win98

Do you have Directx 8.1 installed on windows 98 ?See below site

I could not find a windows 98 First edition sound driver but,it is possible
the codec package for windows 95 will do the trick at below site???On the below one I read something about vxd instead of WDM if older than windows
