I have the same motherboard model as MartinellRios CUSL2-M.
It seems mine doesn't have a fuse. I might attempt to replace the PS/2 port myself. I tried to install XP (and can't "press any key to boot from CD) that's how I discovered the port doesn't work. Anyway it works fine as it is, running on Ubuntu Feisty.
Thanks for the "welcome". Even if this problem is more hardware-related, people have accommodated my query.
what does the fuse look like? is it the usual glass-tube enclosed fuse or is it a surface mounted small package?

If you load WinXP from a cd to a raw hard drive (I.E. one that is fresh out of the box and has no partitions) it will just automatically start loading windows.

I'll try to load XP on the hard drive with all the partitions deleted. and if that doesn't work I'll try to pry (read: desolder) the only white thingy as posted by CCT.
will keep everyone posted.
