Actually, noone advised you to play with your Bios, you were advised to consider a motherboard (mobo) chipset update as well as checking your codecs, testing your memory, mending your drivers and checking for malware.
In any event, 2 beeps on an AMI bios error usually means parity error associated with memory.
If you have more than one ram module, start with one module in (download and read your mobo manual for which slot is used) and if that doesn't post right switch it with another module.
I shall give that a go in a little while.......but first feed tum and relax a while.
:guns: I have done as you suggested and I still get 2 long beeps and the module that I installed got warm very quickly and the PC still did not re boot.

Seems a waste to burn up memory but,is that the only module you have?
As CCT pointed out it could be your memory,perhaps that module
you tried is bad.
Are the contacts burned on it?

XP comes on a single disk...
If these are recovery disks and you have changed the motherboard and processor, they may no longer work (unless one of them is an operating system cd)

What does each disk say on it? The link you gave just shows 3 disks, not what they are. I am guessing 1 will be the XP disk itself, 1 other may be a companion disk with help stuff on it and the third may be a service pack.

:wave: If I have read the instruction manual right only supports HT Technology, I would like to use a Duo2Core CPU but as I am not sure if this motherboard will take that type off CPU. :wave:
There will be a list of supported cpus and motherboard with the minimum bios revision at the ECS website.
