Will let you know what happens, Thanks
Still don't have the scanner working, I am not to good with computers, thanks for trying to help me. Wish I could find my softwear, but at 61 you just forget things I guess!
Did you boot to safe mode? I am concerned that you have not answered my question about how you have plugged in the scanner twice now.
Nor did you answer about the scanner and camera wizard. Did you find any problems with auto play?
How about what happens when you plug in the scanner... does Windows react?
It is very difficult to help you troubleshoot if you don't answer the questions..
Yes I did boot in safe mode, didn't use wizard (don't know what that is)Windows keeps telling me to plug in the scanner, I do and that keeps coming up, plug in scanner!
try this
The scanner wizard is basic, but often you find that you can manually install a scanner.
Is the snapscan cable secure at both ends? Is the scanner separately powered? When you get asked to plug in the scanner and you do, do you also push the scan button on the scanner? In other words, do you wake up the scanner?
Cable is tight at both ends, when I turn on computer the light comes on in the scanner, trying to wake up the scanner dosn't work, scanner is separately powered. Found the wizard, didn't work. On computer, snapscan icon says, 2.0 0.9 not 1.1 like my unit.
Reading around that version of driver is problematic - If all else fails you can try the 1.4.0.1 Beta drivers here (#36):
