It's always seemed to me like a lot of the functionality MS originally planned for W2K finally showed up in XP. But it will interesting to see what we get with 7.
Apparently NTFS is going to be with us for a while, and I just can't get excited about multi-touch. It just isn't relevant to what I usually do with my computer, and I think that's likely to be true for most users. I can think of a whole laundry list of stuff I'd rather see, starting with a streamlined UAC. Somehow, having to deal with UAC just to open Device Manager (to pick one of my biggest pet peeves) seems ridiculous.

7 is how many years it will be before the BETA is released.
I got old this time last week......Will it really matter ?:knife:

It really wouldn't matter much if I weren't in the biz. But, eventually, I'll have to work with it and support it, and you really don't get intimate with an operating system short of running it daily. Study all you want, it isn't the same. If I'm going to be using W7, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if the experience was fairly pain free, and maybe even made my daily routine a bit easier. Hey! It might even be Faster! Easier! More Fun! But I'm willing to settle for it not being a huge pain in the butt.
