I did retrieve the data from the HD, but when I pulled the drive I noticed a flex cable not connected to anything, it seemed like a power cable for IDE hd, mine is SATA, but I am not sure. I contacted the Acer tech support to see if I can find component layout somewhere to no avail.
I was wondering if someone can confirm this, where does this Flex cable connects to, here, Its an Acer--Aspire 5672 with 100G hd, 1 G memory and ATI Radeon X1400.
