Be careful, because some of those legitimate programs have spyware in them. My friend was telling me that he had a matel game on a computer for his daughter, and it registered as spyware. After a bit of research, he discovered that not too long ago, Matel got into a lot of consumer trouble when it was discovered that they had setup spyware in their game. I can MAYBE understand some in a downloadable file, but NOT in something I purchased!!Quote:

That Double click cookie opt out says that it will not place a cookie on your pc "in the future", no specified time frame - I guess that means forever? Also, they have an email opt out and a catalog opt out as well.
