An important thing to keep in mind here is that there's no way that anyone would argue with having DW back. He knows that he is welcome here, and that everyone wants him back, but we can't force him. When he's ready to come back, he will. God's speed to ya Rocco.
When I discovered Windrivers, I found a wonderfull world of high level technical information and advises from the most skilled peoples in the world. (I mean than, its not butter)
Some like DW and others had a very strong presence by their skills, answers and friendliness.
I belive Windriver to be the best information / help source for our business. And I welcome anyone who wish to contribute in a positive way.
And yes, I miss Darren.

I'm still around, hovering in the shadows. My job and new found passion for motorcycles have kept me off the board. Computer Tech work is starting to bore me, or maybe its just the job. As for who's here and who's not here, I have to share of the "others" opinions. You're all free to come and go as you wish for whatever reason whether its timing, personal issues, lost account with ISP or whatever. Don't try to force someone back on windrivers for your own personal reasons, try to think of what they might be going through in their personal life. The real world can be quite a bitch when you're out on your own.
Ruslan, don't think that this second part has anything to do with you referring to me, the second part was aimed at other people.
Although he probably doesn't know me from Adam I to consider DW a friend like I do many of you... But everyone has a right to his views on things. If DW comes back, or some of the others mentioned too, then I say " Welcome back nice to hear from you again. " But I also want them to have their space and I'm sure all that have left, DW included have their reasons and I respect that.

Darren is a great guy and one of the most proficent PC people I know. I think he knows that he'd be welcomed back in a second, if he felt like returning! I'd be thrilled if he came back.
As far as I'm aware, no one whose opinion carries any weight has ever said anything negative about him.
Darren has always been able to speak for himself, and has done so when needed.
Finally, for the record, I have nothing but the utmost confidence in both the moderators, and whatever means are used to select and invite them! It's a testament to Scott's ability, and the abilities of the moderators. [And frankly, I would tend not to trust a moderator who requested the position!]
Who cares any more? If you want to talk to DW just go to him and talk. It's not like he's freaking dead!

Sheriff I never said that I didn't want him back. I was implying for everyone to drop it. I didn't know DW for even a month before he ventured off so I can't speak from that stand point. DW rocks! I can say that I have met very few people that can speak there minds, don't take crap, and can soildly nail technology like he has. I am not in a DW fan club or anything, I just want to give props to DW ( not like he needs it or anything). The point I was and still am is pretty much "drop it"! If DW comes back that would be wonderful, but the man is busy.

We are all still hear and doing fine, I do still read a lot of your post but I said I was going to stop posting for a while and I did. Their was no one reason and it was not to do with one person it was just at the time I needed the break and needed to stay out of fights which weren't mine.
