Give it up already Sowulo...

I'd like to see a movie based in space, among the stars, about a war, perhaps one a long time ago, and it would probably also need to be far away too. There could be aliens, and orphens, and strange little green fellows, with pointy ears. They could all have some sort of magical powers.. I'd call it "The Push", and there would have to be a good side, and a bad side. Maybe they could even get a few movies out of the one idea.. but odds on, they would lose the plot after 2 or 3 of them...
I think I would like it to be called: "Space Confrontation" ... yeah .. catchy ..

Nah, you don't have to pay me, I'll do it for free! :D
-
I'd love to see a movie based on Robert Ludlum's book "The Bourne Identity" great spy/assasin/guns/killing/chicks/action book :D :D :D :D
-
I would like to see R. Heinlein's Starship Troopers (not that travesty that was made a few years back) redone in a manner more true to the book.
Some that have been mentioned: Half-Life, Iron Man, and Battletech/Mechwarrior.
A Star Trek flick from a Klingon's POV. :D
Shadowrun.
Unreal.
Just a few to whet your whistle...

But I wonder who they would get to play Cohen?

I've seen that man.... Hey. Add a toga and what do you get ;)
-
"Ringworld", by all means.
Otherwise, I'd like to see "Lucifer's Hammer" done on the big screen; but not in the typical Hollywood style (Like Armageddon or Deep Impact)...needs to be done true to the novel.
If it's to be a flick based on a game, then perhaps System Shock 2....

Only because I still don't have my UBB person filter Dream fulfilled yet. Ahhh, to see the day where I don't have to ever read another JMM post again. Wow, sounds pretty much like heaven. Wow, a world without JMM, Carson Dailey, or Joan Rivers. And tons of hooters chicks abound.
-
Before it was canceled, I was looking forward to the Alien vs Predator movie.
I'd like to see a few movies based on the Riftwar series by Raymond E Feist but I'm afraid that the story would be butchered.
A Battletech movie sounds great and finally it could look great.
-
Well I'll have to second the Transformers movie and the Shadowrun movie.
I've heard rumors about a "True Lies 2" possibly being made, but I think it died.
I'd like to see a movie based off the Fallout game. I'm not sure if a movie has been made from "Eyes of the Dragon" by Steven King, but that would be cool to watch. A good comedy would be a movie based on the "Space Quest" games.

Poor old Derek with his brains being eaten by seagulls. I know a few people who are just totally grossed out by that!
Amazing movie when you think about it. Done on about the lowest budget ever by guys at University with no funding. I just love the scene when the sheep gets hit by the RPG. :D

Yeah, poor Derek. I guess if I had to keep my battered skull closed with a cheap faux leather belt, the gulls might get a bit of mine, too. I had forgotten the scene with the sheep! Bwaahahahaaa!! I need to watch it again to refresh my memory, but I only have it on VHS. So, I can only watch the tape...as in, watch the tape sitting there on the shelf because my VCR doesn't work anymore. Hmmmmmm...when do you think it'll come out on DVD?? :D :D :D

Haven't read Discworld yet (yet!), but this guy looks pretty crochetty. I would say George Carlin might do a good job; he certainly looks the part. :D
-
Yeah, I don't mind when they make movies from complete ficticious stuff like AD&D, X-Men, Battletech, Shadowrun, or anything like that. JUST BE ACCURATE WITH IT! That's all I ask. It's really annoying when you find out that something like that comes to screen and it's made very poorly with bad actors and terrible screenplay. I know Dungeons & Dragons really bummed me out because it could've been so much better. Same with X-Men. Me and my friend went to see that movie and afterwards we really weren't sure what we had seen.

I want to see a movie where a young good looking mann plays a F-16 pilot in the navy, whos father died in a unamed war in the past. I want the plot involve a good looking women and other pilots he has to compete against in some sort of a top flyer flight navy school. Also to have his copilot die in an accident it be good too. Yeah that would be a good movie
-
I hate that movie...
stupid Tom Cruise...
-
Yeah, he got to sleep with Nicole Kidman!
-
i still want to see charlies angel sequel but in a porn lesbo version, but not have new actors have the same girls from the movie

Cool idea. BLOOD AND SOULS for LYCIA! Terry Gillian or Tim Burton is dark and otherworldly enough to pull off the movie as long as Tim doesn’t sell out the anti-hero Batman style. Unfortunately Hollywood would bugger it. Jeremy Irons (great actor) would be screaming through the whole thing and Keanu (sp?) Reeves or Tom Cruse would be cast as the lead with a generic boy band making a cameo while Jar Jar-Mal hocks super-duper "collectables" at the local McChain. Ahh Sigh, if only we lived in a world where Jerry Springer didn't have an audience. :( <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Definitely agree with some of the above...
Discworld, MechWarrior, Asimov...
Also, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time.
I heard something from a very untrustworthy source about it being done, but nothing since then. Hmmm... wonder if they'd need ILM to do Callandor... :D

The Chronicles Of Thomas Covenant The Unbeliever.
-
Definately the Elvenbane, the tagteam affair by Andre Norton and Mercedes Lackey
I wouldn't mind seeing half life in theaters, but I also think that another final fantasy movie is in order, but one actually based on the full storyline of a game, not the tripe they fed us with 'the spirits whithin'
Wolfenstein would be pretty cool, but number one on my list would definately have to be dragonlance
Dragons of autum twilight, of winter night, of summer flame
Time of the twins, test of the twins, war of the twins
all *very* exciting stories that would translate well onto the big screen, especially with teh technology found in LoTR
I just can't think of who could play raistlin though

WinDrivers Part II The Day The Server Died
Starring
Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr WinDriver
Jenna Jameson as Mrs WinDriver
Christopher Walken as some haunting techie

I, too, agree that another Transformers movie would make a great flick.
However, you'd have to bring back Starscream... again... Gotta have that underlying plot...

I would like to see Steven King's The Talisment made into a movie. With todays movie magic I think it would be excellent if they stuck close to the book.

Starcraft... Its got a good storyline to start. There are three consecutive plots at once. In fact all of Blizzards popular titles have the kind of content needed to produce a movie worth watching.
