Sorry, I wasn't looking for an argument either.

My point was to show that ANYONE can make a quality product. Where it is made, Japan or America, shouldn't be a factor. To me that just shows racism. Just becasue they don't buy our rice, doesn't mean we shouldn't buy their cars. If "they" want to be racist, we shouldn't.

Unfortunately, America doesn't always make quality products. And yes, I love this country, I was born here, and hope to die here.

On a side note, like mentioned above, when you first go to look at the cars, tell them that you do not have a trade and see what they knock off.....9 times out of 10, they will knock off enough that you can sell your old car for the same they would give you for it, plus they'll knock a grand or two off of the new car......they have the trade built into the price!!!!

FYI-I believe the Toyota Camry was one of the best selling car made in a America one of the past couple years. And, that is not fair to say who makes your TV, CD Player, VCR, etc when Japanese companies for the most part own all the patents. Products are not the American business, its contraversy, scandal, blowing stuff out of proportion, telling other companies who to run themselves without them asking for our opinion, acting as if the US is the best country in the world and all others are 3rd world countries, its media, media is our business, to walk into othr countries and say, "i'm from america, can you spell that? i have rights, i am an american citizen, step out of the way so my camera man can fill whats happening."

Those do look pretty cool. I wish they made them in a V6 4WD. I think they'd be a RAD SUV. I really like my Alero, but when my kids are gone........LOOK OUT!!

As for your choices, I'd go with the Eclipse if you can afford it.

Down under we manufacture a fair few of our own cars, the Ford Falcons, Holden Commodores, Holden Special Vehicles (yumm.. i want one...) um.. we have a few toyota plants too, and build the Mitsubishi Magna for export to the US ..

Just gloating n stuff :)

YIKES...anything but the Echo....those have got to be one of the ugliest vehicles I have ever seen. I personally have an Alero..(Oldsmobile)...looks sporty...not too much to insure and if you get the v6, pretty quick...

Cobra, stay away from the newer 2000/01 Eclipse. One, you will be out with the DSM crowd. Two, as of now, there are realy no aftermarket parts available. Three, the '96-'99 comes in the GSX turbo flavour!! With the GSX, A new exhuast, larger intercooler and modifaction to the Tubo, you could easily leave most Mustangs, Camaros, and other Imports in the dust. NOTE: I DID SAY MOST MUSTANGS AND CAMAROS, NOT ALL.

Try to find a Buick Grand National they are incredibly fast have a lot of room and comfort and cheap on insurance (What else can you ask for)

Hey Cobra, go for the turbo Eclipse you can do the work of evil faster.

Cobra, if you can get the 3000GT, make sure you get the VR4, otherwise they aren't quite as fast. Figure 320 HP will do anyone good. :eek:
