Far from the truth

I am reminded, by all this, of an article I read a few years ago about a group of PETA members who staged a sit in at a bull ring in Mexico. Seems they were so hell bent on Saving the bulls that they started their sit in in the middle of the first fight. A dozen or so of these tree hugging idiots jumped into the ring during the fight and just sat down in the middle of the ring. The bull, now with a choice of targets for his bad disposition, opted for the marks that weren't armed. The result, it was said, looked much like a popcorn popper in use.

Another PETA member stood in the middle of the street, quite bravely I might add, during the running of thee bulls in Spain. If only her body had been as strong as her resolve. a bull tosssed her around on the street for quite some time before anyone could help her. She nearly died, but swore from her hospital bed that she would gladly do it again.

This sort of imbecillic behavior does not give me cause to give that organization much heed. These people don't want to save those animals any more than I want to save the week old smoked turky that I just tossed in the trash. They simply want a "cause". Something to make them feel they are worth something. Something to bitch about.

That settles it! From now on I will not wear any cloths since it is made from cotton and stuff and I will only it SPAM and run around in the forest and sleep with deer. I AM PETA! HEAR ME ROAR!

I'm by no means a PETA supporter as I eat meat that is hunted, I fish, and I have visited a Rodeo once or twice. There will always be differing opinions on a variety of subjects.

The human traits assigned to animals is one such subject. If the chimpanzee did not have a great ability to learn and did not know how to use tools, would the only thing akinning them to humans be thier genetic code?

Are humans really at the top of the food chain? Put a hungry human in a pool with an hungry Great White shark, and we'll surely find out.

What kind of guardians of the Earth are we that we kill off species after species of animal? There are many questions to be asked, and we'll never know all the answers to them. So, until the time when the human animal earns the right to be all high and mighty, why not say that all creatures on Earth are equal?

As a Yankee, I really don't like cowboys and rodeos, but I have no reason to protest against them.

PETA on the other hand... I allready went there, and I'd rather not go there again.
