And yes 3Finger, I thought long and hard about rewiring the doorbell to my 220v pool heater line - but then I realised it wasn't really fair on my old neighbours who are Witnesses (he's the only JW I know who brings a 6 pack round with the WatchTower :D )

Have you considered fitting a secuirty camera they are fairly cheap these days and you can leave the video recorder running to see whos doing it?

Looking into getting one of those Linksys thingys with the built in Webserver - failing that, just a video camera pointed out of the window with a big S-video cable to the telly. I might even videotape the whole thing if I can get a plan formulated, that'd be fun viewing :D

Thats actually what we first thought - we get bloody great frogs round here (not French people!) and one of them could possibly have tinkled the doorbell once - but not 4 nights in a row. Halloween... Oh yes :devil: I shall try to get pictures of the items that I'll hopefully be using. I can't actually shoot anyone - I'm trying to get clarification on whether that includes paintballs, however I can set up a garden hose to spray the front door area, as long as it isn't part of a full sprinkler system - then I could get done for watering on the wrong day :rolleyes:

Stop mincing about with what you can and can't do. Shoot them with a paintball gun behind the kneecap and peace shall come to your neighbourhood again.

Just wire the door bell to a solenoid on the hose pipe pointed to the door as you've suggested ensuring its only on during those hours your having problems.

Well, if I was a citizen, I could carry a gun, not sure whether you can carry a concealed weapon in Florida, would have to ask Jaeger or Trip or another Floridian. However, federal law states that a non citizen cannot carry a gun (except in the case of James Bond)

We've called the police again (non emergency number) and apparently, once again they're sending someone out. They may have a shock when they see 6 sets of irate, sleep-deprived neighbours hanging out at my house drinking tea/coffee/scotch. (insert :mob: smiley if you can find it, or possibly :angry neighbours: )

Mrs Titchski is realy pissed off this time (Trip can vouch for how annoyed she gets :D) - she's talking tasers with our neighbourhood watch coordinator at the moment :D

You can get concealed carry in Florida. Easier than some states, harder than others.

We're all going to be sitting outside tonight. It was the same copper who came round before - really nice guy who understands the concept of community policing (so he'll be drummed off the force in no time :rolleyes: ). Mrs Titchski ended up inviting him round for Thanksgiving :D. Anyhow, he mentioned something interesting, the town that I live in has a 15 foot easement on the front of the property - you cannot do anything on that, but if someone comes closer, you can use "reasonable force" to remove them (he remembered who we were and had read up a bit I think).

So the "30 year old and upwards Neighbourhood Watch Covert Ops Team" is going into action by staying up late and drinking beer on our patio's in the dark while using our failing eyesight to watch out for the little buggers.

Keep the dogs on hand ;) as you are all 'O.A.P's' :D your stamina mightn't be what it was :eek2: , even a 'poof' cannine of sufficient size racing about will no doubt produce a little of the desired effect & scare the little gits away & you never know if you get lucky that one might remember what his teeth are really for ! :devil: - if the poodle you are on about is a full size one they are hell aggressive things & originally bred as hunting dogs (despite 'teh gay' haircuts many give them), so that'd give 'em a good chase too ! :) - infact thats a pretty good selection of man's best friends, for chasing/scaring/biting ? :thumbs2:

The last week or so has been ok - they must be on Thanksgiving break until next weekend. Either that or they know my out-laws are in (or should I say the in-laws are out :eek2: )
