Ok cool. I'll see what I can do.
That was my Starsky & Hutch voice.
Works pretty good.
My kid brother inept taught me that.
"Do it."
Hehe.
Meh, I could have done worse at 3:00 am. :eek2:Quote:

Repeat experimentation based on an Applied Environmental Microbiology report on hydroponically grown radish (Raphanus sativus) has demonstrated a possibly fatal side effect for members of the Lagomorph family, namely rabbits and pikas. (Original report available here)
During the course of testing for the presence of enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli O157:H7 (a strain of E. coli), it was determined that exposing the test subjects (rabbits) to UV light (commonly referred to as "black light") was causing unexpected reactions.
Symptoms include nystagmus (rolling eye), paralysis and in some cases death. And I even managed to back that up.
It appears that the combination of chemical elements found in radish and radish sprouts and close exposure to UV lighting is provoking strokes not unlike those of epilepsy sufferers when exposed to flickering photonic stimulation (photoepileptic seizures). UV-B, UV-C and even the more benign UV-A wavelengths have been demonstrated to have the same effect on the rabbits.
Although it has been known that a prolonged E. coli infection can cause similar symptoms (seizures, blindness and paralysis, as discussed here), it has not been proven that the E. coli bacteria need be present for this phenomenon to occur.
I scare myself sometimes. :p
Let the massmailings begin. Put in the subject line. Attn: Rabbit owners!
I just told this 'fact' to one of my co-workers. It begins!!!!

Hey adept....rabbits aren't rodents. They got promoted. Otherwise, awesome load of BS there. We're gonna get listed on Snopes!
Oh wow,.. so we are serious then? Hehe,.. ok then. I didn't bother doing anything because I thought we were just kidding. Well,.. I will for sure make a page tonight based on the words Adept provided and meatwad approved above. I will link it here and leave it up to you guys to google bomb it. And on second thought,.. can I really afford to take that kind of traffic hit if it's a success? I have a 75gb limit on that. I guess we'll find out. :DQuote:

Well, until just recently, they were still considered part of the rodent family. :pQuote:

Alrighty then,.. I whipped up a semi-realistic looking site based off a DWMX template and a lot of copy/paste.
Here is the final product to start our urban myth with.
Now obviously I can't leave that story right there in the center of the home page once I build up content for this site. But I'll be sure to leave a link for it up there somewhere so we can always access it.
It would make the RSPCA happy!Quote:

Has anyone bothered to read through the accompanying links?
I was surprised at how easy it was to pull corraborating scientific background, so to speak, on a completely made up, spur-of-the-moment idea. :eek2:

Well I think this rabbit stuff is all a hoax...
So no-one else believes in spontaneous combustion of rabbits after eating raddishes and being exposed to black light?!?!??
Mine went up in a right flamer after I conducted a controlled experiment last night. Mind you the control was a litre of petrol and two matches... does that count?
I have to say nice work chaps! I'm going to forward the link to my wife who is an avid Rabbit lover...

Now we just need to get it slashdotted and have NooNoo delete this thread to destroy the evidence. :flames:
We should add a line stating that the effects on humans who consume the rabbits has not been studied. Or that a study is now under way.
How can they be consumed when they had combusted in a spotaneous manner...? Or have we moved on from that now... :devil:Quote:

Everybody might need to clean up thier posts in this one so it can't be googled later on!
