Which of the two drove more kilometres and how many more did he drive?
__________
Charles Pompuss drove 20 kilometres more than Ari Gant.
This is one of those questions that seems to lack the sufficient information needed to solve the latter part of the question, however, this is not the case. For example, if it was a 300 kilometre trip, Ari must have driven 140 kilometres, and Charles drove 160 kilometres. You can set the distance of the trip at any length, and the difference will always be 20 kilometres.

IE:
Total trip = 70KM:
Ari 40K on 1st and 20K on the return = 60K total
Charles 30K on 1st and 50K on the return = 80K total
so that would mean 20K more for for Charles
Total trip = 100KM:
Ari 40K on 1st and 50K on the return = 90K total
Charles 50K on 1st and 50K on the return = 110K total
so that would mean 20K more again for Charles
Any total will always turn out with 20K total more for Charles
Blah, all that extra explaining for nothing - I already got the points!
Well I learned something. I was trying to figure out how far they went. It hadn't dawned on me it didn't matter what the number was, it was the difference that was being asked for.Quote:
