9am TF on Saturday? I'll be there. Tonight before I get online to CoH,.. I'll get the homepage updated to show this info.

Also, I agree that the new SG should be exclusive to WD only. I was highly inexperienced when I started GoW, and yadda yadda, I've learned a lot since then. I also regret starting the whole thing with a tanker. I was born to be a blaster I think. I am much more in tune to whats happening from range. I can't wait until everyone gets up to the 20+ range so I can start using Raining Blood again. :)

Yikes - The Positron stuff would require more controllers, you're right ILTU. Clockworks are right up my alley.

If we do the Skyway TF, I'll either need to work overtime on State so he's up to snuff by then, or get SKed since he's still 15 and a half now.

So, anyone else playing tonight? :D

I found a quick way to get Neutragina-Skin-Care-Hero lvled up fairly quickly. There may be a chance I can use him instead of Jamez for the TF this weekend. But we'll see,.. got a busy schedule the next few evenings.

I think I'll be on tonight,.. but only 75% on that as of right now. I do need to do a couple things to the site tonight too. There's just not enough hours in the day I tell ya. :cool:

I'm on tonight after 7-8pm est.

If we do the skyway TF we will be fighting lvl 20's and I'm not looking forward to that with our 12-17 lvl guys. I wasn't complianing about the other TF, just stating that its difficulties. We just need a good team, 2 tanks (or scrap), 2 blasters, defender and controler. I'm thinking we should do the positron TF from SC.

Remember that once it's on, the team we started with is all that we can have so if you are in, say it now so we don't leave without you. If your connection flakes out, as soon as you log back on you are in the TF so crappy connections, don't worry.

So the TF is on for Saturday morning 1pm Eastern, aka 9am Cali time. It'll be long but good. You will level, you will get an SO in the end and they help a lot.

I agree. The team lvls have to match the TF lvls or we might as well not even do it. If we are lvl 12-17 fighting lvl 20's, then we WILL get killed quickly. We should find out what we are up against ahead of time. Are we positive about the lvl 20's? If so,.. then we (as a team) aren't quite ready for that.

Also,.. if we can manage to get 8 on the team,.. that would just be fantastic. Typically there's always 1 or 2 people who for one reason or another can't finish it. Any thoughts on this? Is 8 a good thing? Or is a bad thing? Speaking for me,.. I'll be there from start to finish.

The Positron TF is for Levels 10 - 16 (running this one currently). The Synapse TF is for L15 - 21. :thumbs:

In any party, once you go over 4 people the XP starts to suck. In TF's it's been different as they tend to throw huge #'s of enemies at you when you really load up the party. They only reason I see to get 8 people is because there's always someone who drops out early and leaves the rest of the TF hanging. Trust me, there is little more frustrating than that.

2 blasters is all the party needs if they have a scrapper and a tank. A defender (healer) and controller are must haves but everyone plays a critical role. Without everyone playing their role it can work just fine, you just take forever to get through.

Last night was a pain in the @$$ all due to the way you accrue XP in the game. Here's what I've discovered about groups just from personal experience:

If you have high levels mixed with low levels and fight high level villains – the low level people get little to no XP.
If you have high levels mixed with low levels and fight low level villains – the high level people get little to no XP.

The way around it is to SK ALL of the low level people and not to play with a varied group of levels – i.e. 7-24. If we want to level fast we will all need to play similar level characters, SK any low level people and fight hard and fast. The best thing to do is to go to a hazard zone (Boom, Faultline, Perez) or do missions of the higher level people (u get bonus xp at end of missions). I’m guessing that the difference in levels should not exceed 3 levels difference in characters, barring SK’s. Meaning we should travel unSK’ed with no one 3 levels lower or higher than yourself.

I completely agree. And going hard and fast is key in addition to the lvl differences.

Also, I wanted to point out that I've been noticing that I tend to get real chatty when we're all teamed up. So sorry about that guys. I'm going to try and zip my chatterbox and be less chatty and more focused on getting xp from now on. :D Every team is different though. The teams I've been on that go to mob, destroy mob, follow leader to next mob, rest, repeat, tend to be the teams where I lvl up quickly. I feel that so far we have excellent leadership, everyone seems to know what they need to do,.. but I do think we should have less "tea parties". You guys gotta admit,.. we do tend to hang out and chat quite a bit more than we should be. The way we went through Talos yesterday was perfect! Just not enough xp because of what ILTU described above,.. but the team execution was great.

If Skyway is that high, we're going to have a hard time even hitting. Positron sounds more like our range for now.

I already have 4-5 DOs, but I think I might have started buying them a bit too early.

After last night's visit to the haven of peace that is Talos Island (will post pics later), I realized after logging off that if we intend on maximizing XP for lower level characters, we should team up/SK 1 higher levels with 1 lower level (duo) and not bother with having a larger group. All duos so created could not all enter a door mission together, but they can still hunt around.

Here are some points to consider:
1. Smaller teams (2-3 people) have less characters sharing the XP gained from defeated foes.
2. Even though the "teams" involved are seperate, they nevertheless allow each other to gain XP by confronting larger mobs.
3. Duos need to preferably be between characters that have less the 6 levels difference, to ensure max XP for both "hero" and sidekick to get acceptable levels of XP.
4. Powerlevelling, as I understand it, would require a high level char to team up with a mid and a low level char, where the mid SKs the low. This appears to be the best/fastest method, but implies that the mid and low just sit back and watch if the mobs are too powerful.
Any thoughts / comments?

I think we got that one down pretty good, so we should be able to survive the TF with at least 1 of not 2 levels gained for everyoe. :D

I just want to lvl my character to 16 before that so I can have another melee attack available. :cool:

13:00 EST (1 PM) - but that also is flexible for me. ;)

I really enjoyed the game last night too.

The island tour was great.
