Actually, this was a good thread before all the post padding and thread hijacking. I still think it was a good idea, and besides, I actually look similar to my avatar.

Unless you can guarantee it free from hijacking and POST PADDING then totally disagree. It's called post your pic, how many pictures were there in 411 posts in this thread so far?

People have said it would be nice to see what users look like, so why a thread of 411 posts over 28 pages? (So which page was mine on?) It would be much better to have an extra button under the signature, (with the www and buddy buttons etc.), that linked to a picture of the user if they wanted to publish one. That way if you want to see a picture of a particular user you only have to click a button under one of their posts!

The best solutions are the most simple.

this is merely one of my favorite pictures of myself, taken on a camping trip this year. No photoshop, just a fire, a digital camera and me not paying attention to anything but the fire.

Edit - this picture has been scaled down, it looks much better at full res.
