I am not that hardcore a video gamer now... but I used to be...
Examples of how I used to be too much of an RPG and strategy gamer:
-Can still copy out the full-page Ships Systems Diagram of the Klingon D7 Battlecruiser from memory (last looked at said diagram in 1991)
-You have a simple, 15 step series of tests (beating out your best friend's 18-steps) that determines what sort of magic ring you have found
-You have lost track of how many gaming dice you own (over 300 last count)
-You STILL have the text to every Magic card in the first 15 expansions of the game memorized... even though you sold your collection a year ago...
-You still plan to punch Tom Hanks if you ever meet him for that role in Mazes & Monsters
-You have figured out realistically what your own Strength, Intelligence, Wisdom, etc. scores really would be...
Yeah. The phenomenon continues. It's just been rendered digital. https://forums.windrivers.com/

In another lifetime, I USED to be known as Wayward Clam. But the Powers That Be have spoken, so who am I to argue...?

You accuse the guy in the cublicle across from you of using "wall hacks" because he seems to walk out of his office everytime you "scratch" your nose.
