I actually liked Spanking Monkey Choking Chicken (as I like to call it) but I only rented it on DVD. I tried to watch it with english over dub, but it was horible with the cheesy uperclass british accents. I watched the sub-titled and it was pretty good.Quote:

I remember staying up late and watching that movie when I was like 15 year old. There was supposed to be a nude scene where this beautiful Japanese woman showed her boobs. Sure enough local TV put a heavy black line right over the good parts.:confused:Quote:

I'd like to make a comment on 'Plan 9 from Outer Space' The movie is featured in many cult forums. It is famous since the movie Ed Wood, which was a great movie, came out. Strangely enough Ed Wood himself sold the rights to Plan 9 for ONE DOLLAR - just enough to pay for a bottle of whiskey at the time.
I have two worst movies in recent memory. One was The Mexican which was impossible to figure out and relied on the top two stars, Julie Roberts and that Robert Redford Lookalike to pull it through.
The second one was Gladiator which was two hours too long and just plain abysmal.:rolleyes:
It comes down to the fact that EVERYONE has different tastes in movies.
Some of the movies mentioned in this thread I liked and others I didn't.
Also before you say you don't like or like a movie, make sure you have solid reasons. I was talking to a guy who didn't like "Kung Pow: Enter the fist" I asked him why and he said mainly because the Dubbing was horrible. :eek2: I had to tell him that it was intentional.

i can tolerate some pretty bad movies, even can enjoy some of them like plan 9, but there has only been 2 movies i have never been able to sit all of the way through. Kung-Pow and Showgirls. Jesus Christ Showgirls was supposed to be this super sexy, NC-17 movie which at that time i was in high school so we hauled a$$ as soon as we heard that. everytime i try to watch that movie i swear i barely get away and not throw up. there has been better dialogue in hardcore porn, if i could find the people responsible for making that movie they would definately die. and kung-pow what a piece of crap what studio executive lost a bet to give this guy the means to release that thing on us.

How could a movie written by William Gibson, starring Christopher Walken, Willem Dafoe and Asia Argento (Vin's sidekick in XXX) suck this bad???
The last half of it is a huge series of flashbacks pointing to the first half of the movie, in case you hadn't quite understood the kindergarten-level plot. Overabundant scenes of nudity and sex add nothing to the movie and were probably thrown in just to give it an R rating.
Just remembering it makes me angry again. :mad:
Matrix Reloaded sucked.
The Ring sucked. It was one of those movies you had to endure just to see how it ends. I also agree with you guys on The Blair Witch Project. They all deserved to die for making such a sucky movie.:mad:

Yes, they took poetic license with Roman history, but damn, that is one of my most favorite movies, death, Romans, hot incest love, war, bad *** war, gladiators, death, blood, and a good show.
Mexican was just another lame Tarantino like wanna be movie, and that man only had one good movie in my eyes, Pulp Fiction was his only hit. Resevoir Dogs is bareable, but the rest are all the same. He has to put himself in his own movie, and he never changed the way he did his movies, so the greatness of Pulp Fiction, got old with the rest of his movies.(is that enough explanation there) Which then takes me back to abything that is a musical, I hate muscials, Grease, West Side Story, Camelot, hate em, hate em, if I see one, it is because a chick is making me, and she better be giving me something in return when that crap is over.
I actually kind of enjoyed that in a mystery science theatre kind of way. I was up with the baby one morning at like 5 and there was nothing on but it so I watched it as I fed him. I didn't expect to chuckle at all, but I found myself laughing fairly hard at some parts. . . . .Quote:

Take The Rocky Picture Horror Show. That movie is tacky, cheesy, bad, a cult film, fun, a musical, and just plain weird. Sometimes I love it and other times I can't stand to watch it. I think it depends on the mood I'm in as to which answer you will get. I tried to watch Stallone's "Cobra" three times and couldn't do it. But my wife loved it. No telling.Quote:

Actually I never got all the way through 'Cobra' either. I also tried watching 'F.I.S.T.' What a stupid movie. I certainly don't think it helped the labor movement very much.
I think they wanted another 'tough guy' movie from Stallone and didn't care about the standards....or the script!!!
I don’t know about the worst movie ever but the worst I have seen recently has to be Star Trek Nemesis. I don’t have high expectations of Trek movies with regards to story or production values but Nemesis sucked even by living in your parents basement geek standards.
