Major, this thread is for the worst song and you're talking about Neil Young and Jerry Jeff Walker ? :rolleyes:Quote:

I like JJW, but that song has always pi$$ed me off though I know it's meant as a parody. Basically I heard the blasted thing so much when I was a bouncer while in college in Tennessee it started to grate on me (Flirtin' with Disaster by Molly Hatchet almost reached that level too). Plus it reminds me so darned much of my BIL it's frightning.
I understand about the Molly Hatchet song. I had a roommate that wore that record out one summer. I wanted to smash it into little tiny bits. I must admit the Skynrd song was a lot better than Neil Young's. I didn't understand that reference to him for a long time because I had never heard "Southern Man". I can see how it might have been insulting if you were from the South. Now that I think about it, I always thought they were hacked off about the song "Alabama". Neil better stay away from down there !Quote:

99% of all Aerosmith songs. (Sweet Emotion, the only exception)
Dude Looks Like a Lady
Love in an Elevator

Also, Any Rap Music song.... :butt:
I'm not the biggest beach boy fan, but their place in history and influence on current/former artists should not be overlooked just because they sang about surfing and such. Brian Wilson's vocal arranging was years ahead of it's time. . . . . the next time you hear a tune with really great 3 part harmony thank Brian Wilson and the beach boys . . . .Quote:

I despise the "I believe the children are our future..." song (don't remem who sang it) and the Barney (the purple dinosaur) song (HAS to be most hated ever).
Voodoo by Godsmack.
I agree with the Titanic song. I worked at a video store when that movie came out on VHS. We had to listen to it 30 times a day.
Time in a Bottle by Jim Croche
Anything by Limp Bizkit or however you spell it.
As a Southern Man, I just figured Neil Young was an ******* and worse a foreigner. Still do ( flying saucers, yea right!) and Lynrd Skynrd was correct.Quote:
