Have you checked for spyware and used an online virus checker such as http://housecall.antivirus.com ?
You can also request new disks from your computer manufacturer, give their support a call.

I appreciate your help tremendously. I have no idea what it is. It's crazy!
Could you post the full and exact message please?
Do you have any toolbars installed?
Hello again. No, I didn't have any toolbars installed or running.Quote:

The message was
Explorer has caused an Invalid Page Fault at module kernel32.dll @ 0167.bff87f00
Then it was ....Explorer has caused an Invalid Page Fault at module <unknown>...
I no longer have the full message to share. I thought I could just install XP and be done with it. I am wrong and hang my head in shame. I had to upgrade some drivers due to XP and now my printer won't work right. I am in total hell. If I uninstall XP will it revert back to the old drivers or am I going to have to figure that out too?
Schmitty, Did you ever get a solution to this error? I had the same one and it's still happening. I've tried everything you said you were going to try, no virus, no spyware, renamed applog, new explorer.exe and kernel32.dll files, new .pwl....please tell me you found something. ThxQuote:

You should at this point, backup your data, format and reinstall. From this point on your system will be unstable untill you do.
