Karma is an odd choice of word. Karma implies fate. Fate is what happens to you, not what you do to yourself. This wasn't some unlucky turn of events, this was stupidity in motion.

A correction, I never really implied that he was a " poor young kid" and I also never absolved the parents entirely. Is possible that the school could have done a better job of preventing this from happening…I am sure there is a realistic liability here as well. Many things come into play in order for this kid to have reached this point.

I am asking of you, and you don’t have to reciprocate, is to think about what you have said. No matter how messed up someone is, there is someone out there that cares for and loves that person. We are not talking about natural selection in the wild here; we are talking about a civilized society where people matter, at all ages. To say something like “natural selection among teens is a good thing, helps eliminate stupid people” is not a very wise place to be in your belief system. You should check yourself out on the emotional side…see if something is missing there…

I work with it a lot at the pet shop and it's not THAT bad. Hell of a solvent though and it's got a million and one uses.

Ya_know, I don't care what he does to himself. Life or death, its his existance. What does concern me, and what I have stated several times, is how his choices will affect other peoples lives. If he kills himself doing something stupid, the best that can be said is at least he didn't take anyone else with him. Well, that particular reaper has been dodged. Now what if he wins a lawsuit? What if he ends up with a high powered sports car and no responsibility from his self-inflicted lottery? What if his irresponsibility and high horsepower plow into your car killing your kid? How understanding are you at this point? How unlikely is this turn of events?

This kid is a danger to not only himself, but others. I believe in personal responsibility. I believe that, in stages, a person must be granted more and more responsibility over his life until he controls all that is allowed him by societal contract. My utopia is a place where every adult has control of his life and respects others control over their own. I don't imagine you disagree much with that philosophy, but our differnce is probably age related. I view him as an entry-level adult. He has had his childhood, time to apply those lessons he has been taught. Do you view him as a kid who is still learning lessons?

Just wait for about an our or so. You will feel a preesure near your crotch and you will need to go to the restroom and point your weiner at a urinal or toilet to releive the pressure. After that you will be just fine.
