A large majority of why I don’t get into sports has nothing to do with sports. It has everything to do with excessive salaries, and strikes because they aren’t being paid enough, BlaaBlaa. KingO said it best when he listed all of the costs associated with viewing a single game…and those are cheap seat prices, we’re talking near a combined $230 for two people for a 3 hour game. That’s ridiculous…for that much money I could get a hotel room near by for the whole day, and a cheap hooker to watch the game with me on the TV, providing they don’t block the game because tickets didn’t sell out. You see where I’m going with that don’t you…I hate what goes on off the field.Quote:

Please, it is pure bloodlust why we watch, nothing more, nothing less. When I played, whether organized or just pick up tackle games, I became a different person. I was a machine that caused pain, before they could hurt me. On offense it was my job to make sure your ugly mug stayed away from the guy with the ball, and I did what it took to do so. On defense, if you had the ball, I wanted you on the ground hurting. ****, I broke a guys hand, wrist and arm playing flag football. It is a violent sport, don't pass it off as anything else.
As for prices, and wages, you are right on ya_know. My beloved Aggies are going to the cotton bowl, cheapest I could find seats were $75, for a ****ing college game. I have been offered better seats to a Texans game for $25 less???? I would rather watch it all on TV anyway, then I can get the replays for blocks, hits and other things I didn't normally see, all from the comfort of my couch, my own pisser, and a 12 pack for the price of 1 beer at the game.

It is against the rules to hit a man above the shoulders with your arm extended out like that. Why? Because people necks get broken that way. I don't think that type of move has ever been legal in the NFL. This is professional football. A game. Not a gladiator event where they are fighting to the death. It is a game where one team moves the ball down the field past another team. Hard hits? Oh yeah! Definitely,.. as long as they play by the rules. That was just a cheap shot that was made out of frustration on that Jaguar dudes part. Now if anyone knows about hard hitting it's a man by the name of Ronnie Lott. #42. Probably one of the hardest hitting players in all of football. He never did that cheap shot crap. He hit them square and made them land flat on their back. THAT'S what hitting is about,.. not this cheap shot clothesline crap. Personally I think that guy should go to jail for attempted manslaughter.
As far as the money goes,.. they are all just a bunch of overpaid, drug abusing, street thugs in todays NFL. Not like it used to be. No class in todays game which is why I am losing interest more and more every week.

Well,.. Ya-Know's argument is that he is trying to point out my hypocrisy by saying on one hand I am for obeying rules but on the other hand I am against obeying rules depending on the specific circumstances. However,.. he seems to think it's ok to break rules in the NFL, but yet I'm sure he stopped at every red light on his way to work. So if I am a hypocrite, then so is he. Webby beaten?
