there's no need for indignation, i don't think anybody said it was a bad idea if he wants to do it, but rather people giving reasons as to why they do not feel the need to participate.

Dude! This is insane. Grab a beer and simma down? What the hell are you talking about? I posted a topic clearly stating that a> the home page is messed up b> I would be willing and happy to help out with fixing it c> that if anyone else is interested to participate if you like. Then all these negative posts start rolling in on why corporations suck, whats in it for me, etc. All you have to do is post "no thanks" if you're not interested. It's not rocket science,.. jeez. :rolleyes:

I agree. I wish I had never brought up this idea. I had no idea how upset everyone was going to get over this. Seemed like a simple fun project that I thought people would be interested in. Man, was I wrong.

I'd like to help, but I know basic, basic HTML. :)

I just saw the front page, MAN it needs work!!!

Go For it WH, even if u have to host it at www.win-drivers.com, id rather go there instead of the current frontpage!

I don't think anyone's as upset as you are getting. Dude; take it with a grain of salt. By end of day there will be 6 people posting in here about how they want to do what you suggested. It's a public forum; you get what you get from various walks of life, and for a million different reasons...it’s not personal…it’s just the way it goes.

Well,.. I was thinking of just creating a mockup based on the current content. It'll be just the homepage and I'd post it on my domain. Then go from there. Worse case: It sucks, nobody likes it, I belete it, end of story. Best case: It's cool, people like it and it gets used. Either way I'm happy.

I'm not upset,.. just disappointed by the negative reaction this idea got. I was hoping for some positive vibes. But I guess we don't do that sort of thing around here.

I just went back and reread. I will admit, I did overreact a bit and for that I apologize. However,.. Ya_know,.. it's no wonder you get banned all the time with comments like "kicked in the teeth". You are the one who started the negative tone of this thread. A discussion was starting until you hi-jacked this thread with you stupid comment.
