hi , i read a reply about removing all sound devices in device manager , i have an on board soundcard plus a sound blaster live pci sound card , and it worked great when i first installed it , my question is should i remove everything from the sound,video and game controllers by that i mean audio , video codecs . and everything else thats in there .....please help ....

Uninstall everything except the video and audio codecs... except any codec that identifies itself as AC97
I am having the same prob that you had- no sound... remember how you fixed yours?? Helppppppppppppp..lol

Please start a new thread and post the make and model of your PC and if you know it the sound card and what operating system you are using. If you PC isn't branded, then the motherboard and sound card details are needed along with the operating system. If you don't know download and run everest it will tell you.
Hey i havve a simlar problem , one day i logged on and their appeared to be no sound and ther was no sound icon at the botton left hand side of the screen .......My computer has been like this now for a few weeks i have tried everything.Im Not Very Good With Computer So Please Someone Help Me !!! Soon
