Anytime Dave... as for the wife... a nice evening out might be good for combatting husband on the computer feelings.
We are trying to load Office Professional 2003 onto our computer. We have the discs and product keys etc. Each time we try to load it it stops part way though and says it has a file missing -- A3561408.CAB
How can the file be missing when we are loading it from a CD? Please help!!
Many thanks.
Welcome to WinDrivers, Bishopmouton.
How confident are you with clearing possible corruption from the registry?
The most likely offering I can find is the second section of rmanet's suggestion here:

A couple of Google hits show posters saying it solved that issue for them.
Thanks for your reply Platypus.
I've tried deleting the files from the registry as suggested but we still have the same problem.
The computer gets stuck when it's looking for A3561408.CAB It can't find it and says we must put the disk in, but the disks already in. I need to sort this as we're at the point of attacking the computer with a hammer!!!
Please, have you any other suggestions?
Thanks.

You could be looking a couple possibilities.
Dirty cd ie: fingerprints,scratches,etc etc.
Bad cdrom
Bad cdrom cable
Pretty much what Ferrit has said...
Maybe also a lens clean for the CD/DVD drive, or I'm not sure if the Office Installer can be directed to another location if you can copy the cab file onto the hard drive.

Hello I would like to get some help and assistance from anyone that can help me with this problem that I have in re-installing Microsoft Office 2003 to my home computer (DELL DIMENSION 2400) Here is the situation, I placed the CD Rom in my computer and a message appears on my screen saying that the file: FILES\SETUP\SETUP.INI is missing and/or misplaced. I cannot install Microsoft Office 2003 on my computer until this is fixed. Does anyone have a solution and/or an answer that can help me in my dilemma.
