OK, we now have the cd and have downloaded it. Connected the cable that I have from the usb on the camera to the ussb in the tower. Clicked on to the icon got the jvc page up, turned on the camera to play..........no camcorder connected it says....................!

I am at a loss now.

Does the camera show any signs of connection?
“USB MODE” and/or “ACCESSING FILES” appears
on the LCD monitor while the PC is accessing data
in the camcorder or the camcorder is transferring a
file to the PC.

When you plug in the camera, does windows react? Does a camera show up in device manager?

Have you tried another usb cable or port?

This is the usb and software installation manual check you have done it all as described.

Which software in particular? The video editing software only came with the CD... there is a telephone number in post #23 you can call to get the cd.

Are you connecting by firewire or usb?

I hanen't CD because I Bought it As used one
