What do you want partition magic type for?
I wouldnt use partition magic on anything let alone on Vista. In Disk management you can shrink and expand your disks somewhat
i have been using it for years on XP never casued any problems what so ever.Quote:

A bit late OMG, he has made his decision and ordered the stuff.
Not only that saying:
Only advantage 64 bit OS it addresses more Ram that most users will never use.
All will go to 64 period. It's just a matter of time.
The same as 16 bit then 32 bit.
Thanks for the info but may I make some answers to the points you have made regarding Ulimate 64bit.Quote:

3. As far I know 32 bit applictations work fine with 64bit OS and the other advantage you have is you can use the 64bit applications too. Which looks to be the way forward.
4. A 64bit OS will always handle memory better than a 32bit OS also a 32bit OS wont take more than 4GG of Ram. More more instense memory and games coming onto the market you will need more Ram.
Also as Ferrit has said it's only a matter of time before everything goes 64bit.

As far as I know 64bit os will not address 16 bit that most flash/cm drives use.. there are know 64 bit games that you cannot get in 32 bit, as fare as 64 bit applications the average user will never use period!
Ask Ferret why he uses 4 gb ram with 64 bit OS, is it that you most likely will never have the use for over 4 gb ram.[/quote]
it's only a scanner everything else is good I have had it for 4 years now anything that old needs an upgrade in this day and age.
I don't use any 16 bit applications so it's ok with me.
What I think you don't see is every version of vista is different ie 32/64. Thats why they make them so people can get thier prefered version for what they want to use.
I have a 64bit processor too so it's all the better. 64bit is not all bad why are people making such a deal of it it can do everything 32 bit can do and a whole lot more.
So what do you guys think would you get 32bit over 64bit? and why?
I have cheked all my flash drives and MP3 players and they will work with 64bit so it's not a problem for me.
Incase you didn't know Microsoft says when runnig the upgrade Advirsor that if I install Home premium I will loose some of my system funtionality and it won't use it it to it to it's full potential.
Thats right you heard it from the horse's mouth what else do you need :)
