I am 39 and was tech support at a startup software firm in 1983. That firm made it to number 5 the next year. Is God net driven?

The whole story, I was 9-11 yrs('81-3). old My parents bought a brand new Apple ][e I was so interested that when I came home from school I disobeyed directt orders not to touch it and turned it on. I went through the demo disk. I was captured ever since.
I got my first IBM 386sx clone in '91. note the only original part is the desk my current pc sits on.
I just turned 17 on the 11th. my first pc was an ericcson 8088 that i got at a tag sale when I was 11. it had two 5.25" floppies and no HD. It ran windows 1.03!!! I tried to swap the video card for an ega card, and had no idea what I was doing, ended up killing the poor thing https://forums.windrivers.com/ i've had 6 sinse then, taken them all apart and put them back together except for the ps/2 (please, no jokes at my expense for buying that), and built 2 of them from scratch

Gee!! I must be the elder one here. I will be 60 next month but I feel and act about 30, at least thats what everyone says. I remember before Adam and before 360s. My first experience with computers was in 1959 while I was in the Navy. You walked inside our system at NAS Memphis. Kinda like a univac or geniac. Lots of tubes, boards and relays. No floppies, no hard drives. Took 8 of us 2 days to change programing from payroll to inventory. Ah the bad old days. My old Atari 800 had more power than that monster

I started playing with computers when I got my first Vic-20 back when I was about 16. I'm now 33 and have been working in this business for about 4 years. I never seem to know enough though! :-)
I will be 21 in Feb! I have been working on computers since I was 12 or 13, a 286 PC my father gave me. Currently, I am a systems administrator. And to think I wanted to be a policeman when I was young. Never amagined!

First job was at 15 building clones; Will be 26 in December. Now sys admin for large medical center in Los Angeles. So I only have 10 years "official" experience...wow, how time flies and things change. Still do much side-line consulting, though. Interesting how when you leave old companies, clients sometimes follow (that may make an interesting topic). Everyone have a good Turkey Day! And a good 4-day weekend!
