I didn't believe the hype, but I witnessed something horrible and beautiful at the same time this evening.
She flew through the air like an angel...
And angel of death propelled by brimstone and bloody sulfur, that is :eek:
Morticia is scary folks! I mean, Taz and Fierce were okay, flinging my lag-challenge butt all over the place like I was a dustball, but Morticia... just sick and wrong!
She seemed to teleport in back of you from nowhere and just layed down the law, gib-style. I had to leave after only a few minutes, I was shaking so badly!
BTW, can you tell I'm on dialup and I HATE IT!!! Just you all wait 'til I get ADSL.

I can't boast though, he and Taz still had me running around screaming like a little girl.
I'll try improve my skills before I even think about setting foot in a tourney match against you though.
Wonder if Taz realizes he created a monster when he introduced you to Q3?

Well last nite was an experience...yes their was an unfair advantage with the ping rates as Morticia and Taz hosted the games we played...I must say though, once I got in the groove in playing against Taz, I didn't do so bad in the 1 on 1 with a 400+ ping rate.
When Morticia arrived on the scene, it was a different story. First we started in a different server where we both had a ping rate, and truthfully I was kickin her butt! :D Granted there were about 6 of us total (non-Windrivers also playing) in an excessive match, I was in a constant 2nd place with Morticia somewhere near the bottom place. So I was like whats all the big talk about....
But then came to Morticia's server, where it was 1 on 1...Morticia vs Fierce...and I'll admit, I got beat, but not without a fight though! :D (BTW I gave you that last frag, cuz I knew you had me :eek: ) But anyway, Morticia is a great Q3 player, and should definetly be feared if you are new to the game. Personnally, I can't wait to find a neutral server where the ping rates are a little more even, and then we will see, so another game is planned. But overall, excellent play last nite!! I also felt bad for Adept, as he had terrible ping rate problems last nite, but it was good to see him there!
BTW, I suck on 1 on 1 competition, but I rule the roost in TD or CTF. We will have to get like a Windrivers team going for TD or CTF. More later!!

Processor should be good as long as your Internet connexion is a fast one and nothing else is running on it. If you have anything else, go for it, but we'll take anything you have, thanks.
I'm running a - hmmm - Win2000 "test" server at work. Celeron 500 with 160Mb RAM with 4 Q3 servers active all the time (Excessive, Lost Arena, Seeker and standard) at the same time with a CPU load of 20% with a total of 6 bots (no players logged in at this time though).
If you can add RAM, do so, as the more RAM, the more bots/players you can have on your server.

:eek: You FORGOT to mention that I said I was stepping out twice to adjust the setings cause TAZ had them set for him... I had just walked in from work (Which I posted earlier that I was working Late that night)and I sat at the desk and had to restart the video cause it was messing up ..

PLEASE, the max frag count was 50, I had like 35 (somewhere near that), you have like 9 (give or take a couple), before you whined, Fierce can we leave cuz I'm getting my butt whooped and I don't like it. :eek: So being the nice guy that I am, I gladly left that arena to play a game on a server you hosted, on which I made around 16 frags out of 25 on a crappy ping rate. So bring it on sister, and your doritos too (cuz I get hungry) :D and I'll show you who your daddy is!

Show only one side of the story? Dude, when you played against my wife I was constantly pressing TAB to monitor your ping and the highest ping I saw that you had was 100 to 125. Even Adept commented on how your ping was pretty good when you played.
And the whole idea about the whole thing was a one on one challenge.
I tell you what dude. You figure out how to host and I will play you again and the screen shots wont look much differant. You find us a neutral server where it can be just one on one and the screenshots aint gonna look much differant.

It was a good game we played, and congrats to you two for winning. No I am not a sore loser, I can tell these posts are getting pushy and vidictive.

ok, i need some sites for decent mod for q3, will have this server up and running soon :) will grab a static ip from my cable company and should be ready to rock by saturday the 25th of august (providing i can be arsed after ive finished work) pm or email me with the links...

For Q3 mods, try <a href="http://www.planetquake.com/quake3/features/motw/" target="_blank">PlanetQuake</a>.
You'll find Q3 Excessive on this page. It's a Q3 modification allowing for faster and meaner weapons while boosting your life-expectancy a bit. Pure fun and chaos!
The name sounds good to me, and I REALLY appreciate your suggestion of tweaking for slower commections.
If you need any help in server setup or tweaking, PM me and we can talk some more. Tazdrummer also has experience in configuring an Excessive server.
