Excellent page, BTW. Very credible. :D
As soon as Wrrby confirms he's got the revised, corrected, updated text I'll edit my post.Quote:

Let's not forget the chain email thing, as that will most likely be the best method of distribution.
This is a very interesting social experiment.
Those who eventually get this story again from another source please reporte here. :p
Your thoughts, Spiff?
There's a few others in here too about rabbits that should probably be cleaned up.Quote:

Hmm,.. well if you wouldn't mind making the corrections,.. then I can just copy/paste what I know to the correct copy. Or I can try to do it. Either way.Quote:

Or it could read instead "3fingersalute likes goat cheese. Not just the one made from goat milk".Quote:

Another Idea: We've got plenty of room for other myths, plus it might be good to have more than one news story on there anyway. So if anyone else has any contributions,.. I will post them upon the approval of meatwad (official copy editor).

everyone else: not sure at this point. Ideas?
Also,.. if we collaborate in the political forum, then perhaps ILTU could help out with the deletion of threads if needed as Noo is often time challenged? Just a thought.
And btw,.. the chat on my page really does work. It's very crude,.. but works. :)
*note: I may not be on it until later today though. Of and on kinda busy here at work.

it wouldn't let me in https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
Really? You just type a name then hit enter. It's really sh|tty though. Give me a few days and I'll put a much better one up. :thumbs:Quote:

Cool. I'll be Ben Urich since I came up with the story in the first place. Or maybe Ned Leeds. Then I get to bang the secretary.
Yeah,.. I'm starting to get used to it now. 3FS,.. try again. Adept and I are in it right now.
all you have to do is pm me and I will edit or delete as required - no biggie.
No longer works now.
I think we broke it Wrrby. :(
Cool,... thanks Noo. :)Quote:

Yeah,.. might as not bother now. Hostrocket has been having server issues and it's not working right now. I think they are doing maintenance. They do this like once ever 2 months or so. By Monday I should have this all sorted out. I'm going to try and get the java client built in instead.
Not bad from just a mad idea eh ? ;)Quote:

Yeah,.. it's turning out pretty cool so far. The proof of the pudding will be when it ends up in snopes.Quote:

As far as making users have to register to view the site,.. I don't think I want to do that at this point.
I also do not want to build a mailing list. I'm all for creating an urban myth,.. but I definitely do not want to contribute to spam.
Btw,.. two things: I have added a crude java client just to have the chat ability for now. Also,.. I'd like to see if we can add some more urban myths if possible. So keep the ideas coming. :)
Oh,.. and one last thing... the bulletin board works too. The link is on the top (phpbb). It's very basic,.. not much to it,.. but users can sign up and use as they wish. So take it for what it's worth. The reason I'm adding the chat and bb, etc. is just to make the site appear more legitimate. I'll probably remove the hit counter too because legit sites don't have those usually.
When all you get is "blah, blah, blah .. click to read more.." & then it takes you to a registration page, but if you just skip the registration & use it as a straight link this'll give you more room & keep it getting hits as long as the opening line can get written to include all the keywords most would search on & so more room for some more urban myths ! :D .. I see many possibilities for this :DQuote:

Yeah,.. but I felt so bad for that guy. What was his name? Abu I think? And then that one episode where Jerry got him deported by mistake. Oh man! Poor guy. "Jerry is a very very bad man!" That was gold. :DQuote:
