I just got an Idea! Why don't we do the trial tomorrow night? If it's too hard then we can just stop and try it again later. I take it we'll get wicked XP while on the mission too.
BTW - how do we get the mission??
I'm on Wednesday night. Definitely up for a trial, but not if there is a chance that debt might be incurred. I hear the Terra Volta Respec Trial is rather difficult. I'm unsure if I can attract enough aggro just with Invincibility. Was getting Provoke or Taunt at next level...
Any other time is going to be difficult at best.
Tonight, if inept doesn't leave too late after dinner, I might have a chance. My wife says kicking him out early would be rude, so don't suggest it. :p
For me, next week is going to be CoH Extreme Week, being able to play almost every single evening. I'm hoping to get Stalemate to 27 then. He's nearing 24 now, if I recall correctly.
1> To get the mission we must meet in IP. I forget the exact location,.. but it's west and it's the only location in that area. You can't miss it. It's north of TV, but towards teh west.
2> I like the idea of at least trying the mission. I mean, it's not as big of a deal as we've been making it out to be. It takes around an hour give or take. If you finish it, you can respec. You can also do the trial again if you want to respec again.
3> I'm down for doing the trial whenever,.. but wednesday is the final debate and I kinda wanted to watch that. So I won't be available for it then. But depending on the level of interest, perhaps I could just catch the second showing on CSPAN, so we'll see.
Actually,.. based on this,.. maybe we could plan on doing respec, say next Monday? By that time everyone should be at lvl 27, the debates will be over and we can all put our full focus into it. Hmm,.. makes sense to me. :DQuote:

Maybe I didn't make myself clear on the current status of Stalemate.
Next week will most probably be the time I can get him to 27, thereby opening up level 30 SOs to make him effective with Invincibility and Taunt slotted properly.
There is no way he can be at level 27 this week if I only play him once tomorrow night - even if I ask to be SK'd to level 45+ toons for those "box frags" which garner mucho XP. If he participates in the TV Ttrial right after 24, he might be of good use as long as I pick Taunt next and slap an SO on it for now.
I feel bad about holding you guys back like this. :(
If I was a gentleman, I'd say go ahead and do it without me, but Stalemate really needs to be respec'd. :p
And maybe I didn't make MYSELF clear! :p
We will wait (or at least I will). But we've gotta do this sometime next week for sure. So in the meantime, let's all pitch in and help Stalemate get lvled as quickly as possible so we can go do this.
And on a sidenote: I will be on tonight,.. but probably not until late. Since it's my b-day, there is a higher than normal chance that I will have to have a social life tonight. I know it seems very odd,.. but it could happen. You'll see. :p
ill wait till whenever everyone is ready...i was looking forward to doing this as a SG. call me sentimental but ...lol. for whatever its worth, ill be exemped to any1 who deires to get going faster. as for stale, if we leave him visible...maybe it can be enough for him to aggro. u can be sked in the trial right?
Wait until 24 (strict minimum) or wait until 27 (most effective)? :D
Yeppers, but at least be level 24 to be admissible into the TF.Quote:

Isn't your entire next week booked, evening-wise bro? :p
I think we should leave it until the following week, Oct. 24 and onwards, if we want to make sure to implicate as many SG members as we can.
Let's not forget Carbonado too. ;)
Yup.
Hence my reasons for suggesting level 27 to take this on at the earliest.
+2, +3 Stalemate will have no problems facing, but blasters are in definite danger.
Also, without the possibility of properly taunting and pulling aggro, the reactor is a very hard thing to protect.
Stalemate will be on tonight, at about 7:30 EDT.
Don't be scared kids. This TF will be no prob.
Just be sure to stock up on awakens mainly. Also, we will need a healer.
You guys seriously want to try this thing tonight?
Stalemate won't be able to participate in the Terra Volta Trial until he's 24.
The Sister Psyche TF would be profitable though.
The only drawback would be the risk of seeing characters reaching 28 during its course. ;)
ill bring bombjack out 2nite. heal all ur wuss a$$es. whos the traitor talkin about respecing 2nite??
Definitely not me. I'll be watching the debate which means I won't be on until late-thirty est.
The Valiant Armored Stalemate v.6 is now level 25.
I had wrongly thought that he was 23, but he was 24. He'll need 26 to get Taunt.
The Sky Raiders timed mish last night is what I guess the TV trial will be like.
Yeah, the one where the blasters and Aum died. Twice.
Fun. :eek2:

PARAGON CITY, RI, October 13 —The heroes all agree: something is stirring within the 5th Column. According to several hero reports, 5th Column activity is at an all-time high within the city limits. 5th Column communications traffic has increased, troop movements are escalating, and new bases are cropping up seemingly overnight.
“I got called in twice last night to deal with 5th Column incursions into the caves of Talos Island,” said popular hero Lady Starr. “Twice! That’s twice too often!”
Military analyst Christine Lannsdale has been called in to determine the threat level posed by the 5th Column’s recent activities. “It could be bad,” she said. “We already know that the 5th Column is in possession of state-of-the-art ordnance and robotics technology. They’ve shown themselves to be organized and effective soldiers in the past. At the behest of Mayor Morales, I’ll be drawing up a list of high-risk targets. Our best chance at foiling the 5th Column is to anticipate their attack.”
Not everyone agrees that a major strike is imminent, however. New hero The White Rabbit had this to say: “The soldiers I arrest these days have this look in their eyes, as if they were almost grateful to me for bringing them in. I tell you this: something has them spooked.”
The White Rabbit’s claims have been dismissed by many, but there are those who are unwilling to rule out any possibility. In an effort to collect more data, police officers have begun calling upon their usual sources within the city’s criminal underground. Unfortunately, none of these normally reliable individuals had reported in as of press time.

The city’s heroes have their hands full due to the 5th Column’s recent rise in activity.
Bring them ON! :D

GG: Are you planning on creating more class types and powers any time soon for the heroes?
CoH: We certainly are. Expansion 3 introduces an Epic Archetype -- the alien Kheldians. In order to play one of these energy beings a player must first attain level 50 with a single character. After that, he can make as many Kheldians as he'd like. The goal with these Epic Archetypes is not simply to provide a new Archetype, but also to immerse the player in the game's rich mythology. As players will see, the Kheldians are deeply intertwined with the history and villain groups of Paragon City. In following expansions, we hope to continue opening up more of these Epic Archetypes.
...
GG: Tell us about the upcoming expansions... What's coming up, and what will be in them?
CoH: Expansion 3 is on the horizon. In addition to the Epic Archetype mentioned earlier, we're adding a brand new villain group, as well as a new zone. Naturally, this means there will be new missions galore. We're also hoping to get a new chat system in this update, as well as several other quality of life issues. And players will also get their long awaited mission difficulty slider. Perhaps most importantly, we're moving the storyline of the game ahead; players can take part in a world changing event whose consequences will reverberate for years to come.
GG: Why is it heroes are limited to one server, I've wondered why we can't export and import our creations to another server and thereby fight in differing environs?
CoH: This is a feature which we'll be adding in the near future.
The idea of an Arena (read article) makes me feel all tingly inside.
I really like this server crossover idea. I've often wondered why they never had it before? I mean,.. none of us ever get to team with Klarg because of this. Hopefully they add it soon.
Note: I'll be on tonight 100% for sure,.. but not until later. Tomorrow I plan to dedicate a gang of time to CoH so hopefully I'll see some of you online.
Yeah, it would be nice to be able to team with you guys more.
Anyway, just wanted to show off my main, Jet Flash, with his brand new, L30 aura:

Looks like a mini-Stalemate! https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
J/K.
Can you toggle the aura?
That rocks,.. I'm gonna have to get a current screenshot of Raining Blood. :D

As you can see, I'm not taking Taunt this time around either. ;)
The last 2 entries are tentative.
Invincibility does a decent enough job of keeping aggro. Combined with Whirling Hands it's even better.
Please comment/suggest your opinions.
Cassiopea will be on tonight, in all of her 25 levels of deadly Dark Melee scrapper powers.
I might be on Saturday morning. Might be a good time for a TF.
Or some elegant 3-piece crime fighting.
BTW, I opened up a saved file from Hero Planner 1.55 to copy the above list.
Sure. I can help Fracas power level. :DQuote:
