8 miles taking 4.02 mins is therefore 120mph - give or take

150 mph (you never said the average was based only on each pair of laps)

the Mean way 123 Mph

the Median way 121 Mph

Well, Noo, if I assume a lap is 2 miles, here is what I come up with:

4/100 = .04
4/102 = .0392
4/140 = .0286
4/150 = .0267

16/.1345 = 118.9591mph

So I am going to officially say 119mph rounded off.

we need to know the distance of 1 lap if Adept wants an exact answer.

Averaging 120 mph? Then the driver must be David Coulthard!!!
