Probably asked this one already, but I'm half-assing it today. :p
If you were to put a coin into an empty bottle and then insert a cork into the neck, how could you remove the coin without taking out the cork or breaking the bottle?
__________
Push the cork in the bottle.
I can tell you again that you push the cork in but I already got points for this one.Quote:

While on holiday in Europe, Shadow was touring some of the ancient castles.
The tour went up a long flight of stairs, until they came upon a huge wooden door. The guide pulled the door open and shone a light inside. There was a long shaft with four walls ending some 40 metres below.
The guide explained that this room had served as a disposal system for those who were out of favour with the castle lord. As the group made their way back down the stairs, they heard a loud scream and a thud.
Shadow and the guide ran back to find a suicide note pinned to the large wooden door. They swung the door open and shone a light down the shaft. A woman from the tour lay dead at the bottom.
"This was no suicide," declared Shadow, "this was murder."
How could he be so certain?
__________
The shaft having no floor, it was impossible for the victim to have shut the door from the inside.

James Diamond sat slumped in his hotel chair, dead. His dangling hand clutched a pen. A suicide note lay on the floor at his feet.
"I don't understand it!" exclaimed Sid Shady to Shadow. "Jim was in a great mood, not two hours ago. He just won over 100,000 pounds at the black jack tables. Why would he come back to his room and kill himself?"
Shadow noted how slack the body was, and then saw the cause: an open bottle of cyanide on the floor. Cyanide kills instantly and causes the muscles to go limp. Shadow noted that the room had not been disturbed, and the money James had won lay scattered on the bed. The suicide note appeared to be written by James Diamond.
When the autopsy confirmed cyanide as the cause of death, Shadow ordered the arrest of Sid Shady.
Why?
__________
Cyanide causes the muscles to go limp, yet James was clutching a pen. Only the killer who forged the note could have forced the pen into James' hand. If James had written the note he would have dropped the pen.
Unless the door was on a spring hinge. But then Adepts stupid story didn't really go into that detail...Quote:
