That plan was scuppered by a sad friends wife not wanting any of us to have fun. Today I find out that 50,000 England fans will be there for Sunday's match, more travelling fans than any other country taking part. I wish I was there.
Excited? You bet. The whole country is getting ready for this. There's nothing that brings us English together like a war or an England football match. You can feel it in the air. If somehow we win the whole thing I think the country will explode! I can't wait for Sunday evening in the pub watching the football with all the boys. It's what life is about. Good times!

Well the first match has finished and it ended Portugal 1 Greece 2 and what a great start to the tournament it was too.
King Grover gets off to a flyer and only a last minute consolation goal by Portugal stops him picking up maximum points in the first game, (he predicted Portugal 0 Greece 2).
League table will be updated after both todays games have been played.
