I would looooovvveee to get to lvl 50 and see what thats all about, but honestly I'm finally getting burnt out on this game. Really it's the same thing every time. Shoot stuff, get xp, eventually lvl up. Collect enhancements, etc. Rinse, repeart. Over and over and over again defeating the same friggin villains. It's just getting old. The part that makes this decision most difficult is that I feel I have gotten to know some of you better over the last few months and you are all a good group of people to hang out with. But last night I logged on and just wasn't into it at all. Not only that, but there are so many other games coming out that I haven't played or would like to play or am looking forward to playing but don't have the time because I sink so much time into this game.
So, again, I haven't made a decision yet, but I am heavily considering this. Just wanted to formally announce it ahead of time so there are no surprises. :)
I think the reason I haven't gotten sick of the game yet is the way I approach it. I have a knack for fighting off monotany and boredom.
DON'T DO IT WEBBY!!!! :eek2:
At least get to level 32 and get your uberpower on RB, and then wait a bit for issue 3, then jsut a little longer for City of Villains to come out...
In a way, I know what Webby mean, and yet there is enough of the game to really hold my interested. Those damn badges are addictive and I can't figure out why. Maybe I'll stop being a hero in the game and become a musician... I can do that in CoH, right?
Im going through spells of bordem with this game too. I get a little burnt out so I quit playing for as long as I feel burnt out. Then something peeks my interest and im back in again.
Just quit playing for awhile if your feeling a little burnt out.... its no big deal...
Just a game after all.. :)
I mean,.. I'll spend hours and hours and hours on this game,.. and then what? I look around and have accomplished nothing. Maybe for you guys it's fine cuz you gusy all got wives, kids, good jobs, etc. I have nothing. I have this lousy little apartment, no chick/kids/family/etc., a crappy truck, a job I hate and instead of doing anything to correct all that, I just sit around collecting enhancements for my virtual cartoon hero for hours trying to forget about how bored I am. Doing this on a daily basis makes me wonder why I even exist. Yeah, I got some serious issues to figure out so I might quit soon.
Wow. Wrrby sounds like a bizzaro meatwad. Cause you know, I pretty much am in the exact same boat as you, except I kind of like my car and I own my home (not paid off, but I can live the dream can't I?). Don't dump on yourself man, I know how it is.Quote:

Webby wants to stop playing CoH to possibly find a wife, and I play CoH to get away from my wife. Rather ironic.
Ok lets compare miserable life stories..
I live in a crappy apartment too.
I go from work to home and then back to work again.
I destroyed my social life by moving up North and I hate it
I havent been out with a real friend outside of work since I cant even remember.
No wife
No girlfirend
No friends
I hate this Place
I wanna go back home
and lately the women I do know can kiss my A$$!!!
And I play CoH to hang out with a d e p t's wife. Hmmmmmmm.Quote:

2. arrest 15 riktis

and he gently tells you that all these may be found in one area...CREY'S FOLLY...really nice place, you'll enjoy https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
oh wait, i forgot to tell you that there is nothing lower than a 33 boss in crey's!!!!!!!!!!! so "shop" somewhere else ;) and be careful about the riktis, they ambush much.
it wasn't too bad, and now i have my aura, nice......there are many options btw, it was very difficult to choose but i finally settled for "smoldering" hands https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
and for the lack of interest in game play, when u hit 30, it takes on a whole new twist...new plots, new baddies, new zones, you name it, they made it...(i had to let a behemoth kill me just to get out of one mish, it was very difficult, not your average solo missions at all)
we have to go to Bricks, it's a very friendly family place https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2006/04/1.gif

i guess ...but this one had behemoths coming out of those portals!! i'd try to go in, and thered i'd be, surrounded by 2-4 behemoths. i even tried destroying one portal...i did, but there was ten of them in the same huge room, they just kept coming out, and out, and out...Quote:

btw, it seems like all CoT missions are being transferred to that kind of atmosphere, so choose tp guys and not stealth https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
See?
You guys still need an efficient tanker. :p
A blaster and I could have done all those alone, with me herding them all in one area for easy picking, or to keep them busy while the portals were put out of commission.

So who's up for a TF tonight?
Or a really intense mission arc?
Stalemate will be out there patrolling Paragon City at around 9:30 PM, EST
Gotta work tommorow. I may pop on or get caught up on my CSIs since I feel like dogsh*t right now. We'll see.Quote:

Me, I'm just trying to find things to do that don't involve going to the bar or working harder for a degree that gets me not much more $$. I don't have a ton of real world friends because the hundreds of folks I knew have mopved or have gone on to raise families too and just don't have the time and $$$ to spend on other things. So for $50 and then $15 a month I get to hang out and play a game with a bunch of guys I really like on an almost daily basis.

See you tonight.
Honestly, the only reason I got into this game was because you guys were raving about it and I figured having the possibility of teaming up with the coolest WD members was something I just couldn't pass up.Quote:

Ok,.. I think I was just going through a phase and I think I'm starting to come out of it now. So I will be back on soon. But tonight I got some crap to do,.. plus I do have a new project I'm working on,.. but I'm not going to end CoH. I repeat NOT going to end CoH. I think it's become more than just a game and I'm in for the long haul because I think it's worth it. And I do enjoy the time hanging out with you guys playing this game too. Not sure if that makes any sense or not, or if I worded it right, or if it sounded kinda gay,... but that's pretty much how i feel about it all right now.
Ok then,.. cya on the battlefield soon. :D

J/K - We all get those moods once in a while... hey, we can't use the "monthly inconvenienced" excuse like women can, so let's just call it "quarterly psychosis". :p
like ILTU said, for 15$ a month, getting to hang out (with teamspeak we can say this now and not be laughed at) with some really cool peeps is the only reason i'm in. my social life is pretty underdevelopped, but as a single man with kids, there isn't much out there that's worth my time.
and yes bro, us wuss blasters will always need an aggro machine ;) that's why i have one in the works toohttps://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2006/04/1.gif
