This isn't about post padding, it's about having the last word. Several times now there have been multiple posts one after another, don't you get it guys/galls.

It's not the last 3 words, it the LAST WORD.

There is always the "No WAY I am letting ________ have the last word" factor involved here. In review, I have to agree that this thread is likely to be permanent.
