You say that like it's a bad thing. :confused:Quote:

So that is 2 votes in favor of, 0 against so far.
As a side note, respec is coming again at lvl 34 (right??). I know Carb is dying for respec and I am itching.
I'm thinking right now of ditching teleport in favor of super speed. I may do this to get the leadership power pool so that all of you (and my monkeys) can be more accurate and do more damage. Obviously, without teleport I can't reacll you and this will make life a little tougher if Buzz isn't on. This is also due to the damned lag that they can't seem to fix and me falling from the damn sky all the time.
Anyway, it's just a thought. I also may ditch inviso other and get smoke back. After a few more levels I'll be able to 6 slot it and get SO's for it so it has a decent ACC mod on the enemy. Further, it now seems that it was a heck of a lot more useful in keeping other mobs aggro off of us.

Should we again wait for level 37 to get level 40 ENH?
I say let her in. The way I see it, Ajani and her are on double secret probation. As long as they don't screw up too bad or piss us off I say go for it.
Which brings up a new order of business. Is Carb off of double secret probation yet?
I thought he was already. :confused:Quote:

You know you can't resist much longer. :flames:
stale should be the only one aggroing, hes a tank, thats what his AT is famous for, and 2 peeps trying to aggro means 1 thing, 2 mobs...period. i've seen it over n over, the best aggro is from a single source. we need to stay put while stale aggros, i know its tough guys, but we should wait till he gives us the "ready" signal, and by that time he should have targetted the biggest threat to the group (or him) so we can use him as target.Quote:

i'm ok with the additions to the team, new blood is good, and some SGs are up to 35+ members (and good ones at that too) so we need to muscle up and recruit. considering our lvs, it will be easy to powerlv lower toons, so lets not stay focused at the lv30 range...15+ sounds good (make that 16, extra power lol)
so far hes got 5 resist damage on US. and i dont get knocked back, slept, and the whole stun/mez/hold shabang either. but teleport will be a must for me. and honestly, i use provoke more than i use my melee hits, they constantly need to be reminded of whos the target they really want so they dont wander off and nail the "real aggro kings" that do AoE attacks lol. i dont recall having harder blasters to defend than fire blasters, they are magnets for death https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gifQuote:

Invincibility has a small PBAoE taunt built into it, but I'm gonna have to ask Blackiron what his trick is, as it rarely holds the aggro if Stalemate moves while he doesn't appear to have any problem herding 30, 40 foes at once.Quote:

I'll calc out the debuffs Invincibility, Unstoppable, Tough Hide have together and then with taking Acrobatics again (to avoid being hit in the first place) before I seriously consider taking Unyielding Stance. As all my pools are selected, teleport is no longer an option for me.
He'll be on TS this very evening, if he's on at all. :cool:Quote:

As for staying away I'd rather they stick closer (stacking ToHit debuffs to max out defense), as ranged attacks still get through. :D
I'll start practicing the skulking around areas with a lot of obstacles, to see if that changes anything. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2006/04/1.gif

As for the lvl 15's, maybe IMHO. I kind of like higher levels as they most likely have a little more maturity in the game having played long enough to get to lvl 30. I mean at this level we can assume the rudementary skills are there.
I also think we should begin to power level some of our lower level toons too so we can have a bevy of high levels to pick from to take on missions.
He didn't attack until they were herded into a corner. He just kept running from them and on occasion would run back to them to re-aggro.Quote:

Moncro is recognized as one of the elite players out there when it comes to calculating or drafting guides.
He even had his toon drawn up by a fan in the last City of Heroes comic.

Absolutely true and I've made my peace with that. ;)Quote:

Holding the aggro is not my problem. I rather enjoy it now. Seeing +4 mobs not even putting a scratch on Stalemate's armour is just awesome.
The problem I have is that to be an effective, conscious tanker I HAVE to take either of the following series of powers:Coming to terms with my role is all fine, but having to select powers which don't fit into my idea of what I'd like my superhero to be would make it tedious to play. The first set of options is not the character build I wanted to have. I wanted Stalemate to be mobile and fast, not rooted and only hurling insults as an attack. That is what I refer to as being an "aggro anchor" - no movement possible.
- Unyielding Stance / Temp Invulnerability / Provoke / Taunt / Teleport - which means I don't move and spend my time cycling the "yo mammas".
- Unstoppable / Invincibility (PBAoE taunt) / Dull Pain / Provoke / Superjump and/or Superspeed
I'm just looking for the second option to be viable and to keep Stalemate from being useless if mezzed, and it appears that Unstoppable will fix that at 32 so it's all good. The problem is solved.
It sucks that to abide by my plans I have to compensate for a power which will leave Stalemate drained (like Nova for Major Blaze), but that's OK. Plus, with Energy Transfer and Total Focus, I'm not so sure that damage will remain exclusive to blasters and scrappers. I'm sure that others have also noted that my attacks have an excellent chance of disorienting foes, which gives us the upper hand quite often. ;)
It also sucks that for this build to be team-friendly that I had to wait so long and not only get frustrated by inefficiency (pre-respec), but to frustrate my teammates also. That was my complaint.
Don't get me wrong, I love this toon now and like I said, can't even find anything to respec at 34. He's my main for a reason.
But now, there is talk of changing/nerfing Invincibility, Unyielding Stance and Unstoppable after Issue 3, which is just... http://forums.windrivers.com/images/...s/rolleyes.gif
Anyhow, thanks for letting me vent.
Must be because I'm letting my wife take my place tonight and I could really use the cathartic, therapeutic benefits of CoH and had to find a replacement.
OK, I get it. I'm in the same boat, we all are. Sleep, sleep, sleep, mez, sleep, dead seems to be the biggest complaint of all COH players apart from the trolls who continually ask for power nerfing which is bull**** to say the least (why I dropped smoke). I've sent petitions about my powers and have made sure to write support back about sleep being spammed at us by certain bosses and LT's. I suggest that we all open a case with support when it happens. Perhaps they will listen and fix it.Quote:

Plus, I can't protect aggroed teammates if they're out of UYS/Taunt range unless I drop my toggle and risk going for a nap instead. :p
Overall I thing keeping him mobile is the best course of action.
Or else, that level 34 respec might come in handy after all.

my main concern is holding the Major back, he just wants to lv that xp hungry beast!! he's one bar from 34 again :( guess its gonna be closet time again, maybe i'll practice Irok, or Zero Ground...which should i choose, the controller (grav/emp) or the tank?

Cass told me a bit about the game of hide-and-seek you guys had last night with CoTs. Here is that info to set up a "see through walls" script. :p :
Nice Bind Command to see mobs through walls:BE AWARE THAT THIS CAN BE CONSIDERED AN EXPLOIT
Type this as you see it in the game:
/bind y "vis_scale -1$$bind_load_file c:\cohkeybind\vis_scaleneg.txt"
----------------------------------------------
You will need to create 2 text files called vis_scaleneg.txt and vis_scalepos.txt and then put both of the files in the folder c:\cohkeybind.
Put the following in the .txt files you just made
vis_scaleneg
y "vis_scale 1$$bind_load_file c:\cohkeybind\vis_scalepos.txt"
vis_scalepos
y "vis_scale -1$$bind_load_file c:\cohkeybind\vis_scaleneg.txt"
MAKE SURE SPELLING IS AS YOU SEE IT
NOTE: You may need to make a cohkeybind folder.
By pressing y, you turn it on; then press y to turn it off. With these there will be no more blind coners. This may help you find mission terminals, body bags, boxes, etc.
I'll help Ajani set up his Teamspeak client when I'm on this evening.
4 in favor of Ajani's wife (sarsaparilla?) joining the SG, 0 against.
