You have a mod out for Quake 3 (been out since Quake 1 or 2... and it is an awesome mod too), called Rocket Arena. What you experienced last night on Milenko’s server was Quake 3 with the “excessive mod” all weapons – unlimited ammo etc. There are other servers with “team play” , limited ammo, weapons, health, etc.
Which video card are you using – and what are you other computer specs?
i got an nvidia...... hmmmm something, not sure i have to look it up at home.
i traded it with my friend i gave him my voodoo 16mb for his nvidea 32 mb card.
as far as quake fort i never played it.
on TFC is like a military type game team play red vs. blue
characters
enginear = i rule as engie im the best
sniper = i rule as sniper im the best
heavy weapons guy
scout
medic = i rule as medic im the best
soldier
demoman
pyro
spy = i rule as spy im not the best yet
each character has a unique abilty if mastered you can be unstopable.
ive played other mods especially mods of UT but its still no TFC and always find myself going back to TFC.
half life is the first online multiplayer game ive played
is there other games like TFC that are multiplayer ?

The classics are Rocket Arena, Instagib, Urban Terror, Excessive and Tribal CTF, to name a few.

Well I was just in there and w/ 8 ppl on excessive it is just insanity. Hold down fire button, keep moving, jump and pray.
Morticia was there for one round and fragged me multiple times but i did not nail her once, oh well.
