Back to the Double Jeopardy scenario. Killing her husband the second time would be a different crime, therefore the double jeopardy would not apply. HOWEVER, it is feasible that the Judge might suspend sentence for time served. The only complication would be whether or not the second murder conviction fell under the same degree or not. If the second murder warranted a more severe penalty than the first, then additional jail time or possibly even death could be required. :)
